Porte-cochère

The second panorama was taken in the porte-cochère. There were three gates to the castle in the past. The first one was a gate with a foregate. The second one is a still existing stone gate. The third gate was an exit to the courtyard. No traces of the original gate equipment have remained. In the porte-cochère, there was a decorative frieze mentioned in the route description. The Gothic frieze was removed and went missing in 1960’s. It has never been found.
